I also agree with all of ya. American Idol had the best opportunity to continue to grow and become even more of an empire than what it did. In my opinion, what happened is that internal ego and greed destroyed the flow. Once that flow was stopped, like blood flowing through a vein, it stroked out. It tried to recover but, when you are not aware of what the problem is, then you don’t know how to treat it. It was like the blind leading the blind. Ego and greed are very powerful. It ruined them. They are done.

Jeanni, I don’t think Idol will ever recover from season 5, it has been downhill since. Taylor changed the make-up of the whole show. Even this past year allowing the contestants to use instruments didn’t give them what I think they planned it would. David Cook was very talented and I am happy he won, but he just didn’t have the stage presence Taylor did, none of them do. Simon and crew can think what they want but Taylor made the biggest impression on that show. I think Simon goes too far with his comments, the older ones can take it, he just crushes the young ones. He could be a lot kinder with his comments, but I guess the folks in charge like the nastier the better.

Coming in late about the dust flying in AI land. Taylordays, was Nigel fired? For real?

As for AI and what the judges make? About a year ago, it was a raging hot topic on one of the fansites. Naturally, the chrolls came out of the AI thread, to argue with those of us who were discussing it. Right now, I can’t give sources, but I seem to recall that Simon was owner/partner with AI in some way, he also was involved (as Cbb said) with the resulting winners LABEL (LMAO) and got a HUGE percentage cut regaring the label. I recall something like this..56 Million. Yep.

As for WHY Simon behaved in an inappropriate way regarding Taylor – and why all the insults during and afterwards? PLAIN and simply..Heres my take on that –

1. JEALOUS – Of Taylor -

2. ENVIOUS – Loathed the reaction of women toward Taylor –

3. SUPIDITY – Because Taylor knew American music history and HE did not.

4. MONEY – - He couldn’t stand the idea that he would have to be part of signing Taylor, because he couldn’t control him.

AND Simon can’t dance (said Paula) and Taylor can! HAAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

LOVED the interview. Loren is special. No doubt about it folks. Hot too…damnation, had to say that. OK…but, the main news I came to tell was that on THE NO SPIN ZONE on Fox…O’Reilly had a segment about how supposedly Simon Cowell is getting paid WAY more than Paula and Randy. All is not so good in paradise. It is told that Paula and Rande and even Ryan are not saying anything publicly…but, it is in the air. Well, the story is told that Simon is making around 50 million a year for just the show. Paula is making 6-8 mil…and Randy is making 2 mil. SO…some have indicated that Simon is part of the owner of the show or has some kind of an extra cut for something…but, NO. He is not connected…EXCEPT, that he is giving the winner a record deal…lmao…and because of his personality? He deserves more. OK…so, really, could we not all live great for the rest of our lives if we made what they make in ONE FREAKING YEAR? Ok…well, they have added a younger woman to the judge list…and this is because their ratings have fallen…especially amongst young people…7 percent. HAHAHA!!! When just the older generation watches…they will just watch to see who is fighting with whom and if Paula accidentally lets one of her boobs fall out of her dress while a little tipsy…it is not the same. We are relishing that Taylor Hicks was the best thing to come along and without the promotion, attention, respect and admiration…the list goes on…he was still going to outsmart, outwit, and find his way out of the PART of AI that was wicked…it brought him to us…but, it also was choking him. He knew…and the slow and easy remark…yea, baby…he did it. Like winning the lottery. Now…we shall wait for the MASTER CD. Patiently…I might add.
